XiShi was born in the "Spring-Autumn era" around 494 B.C. While the Yue empire was defeated by the Wu empire, the emperor of Yue was treated as a war criminal for many years. It was told that XiShi disappeared after the battle. XiShi temple was built to remember her contribution.
