THE TWELVE ORNAMENTS





These ornaments appeared on the decoration of the ceremonial robe worn by the ancient Chinese emperor during the big events and ceremony. The orders would be : 
Sun, moon, stars(all three represent shining and protection.) mountains(stable), 
dragon(responsive and change), 
pheasant(elegant), 
two goblets(loyalty), 
pondweed(clarity), 
flames(light and truth), 
rice grain(nourish), 
axe( decisive),
double bow(understanding)
